New York's American Museum of Natural History has unveiled the Judy and Josh Weston Pavilion, the museum's new entrance on Columbus Avenue. Designed by Polshek Partnership Architects, the 1,800-sq.-ft., 43-ft.-tall glass structure features a 3,500-lb. aluminum and stainless-steel armillary, a series of spheres used to derive the coordinates of celestial bodies. "The sculpture," says its creator David Harvey, "weaves together elements of time, space, and history, providing visitors with a clearer understanding of our galactic address."
