The national mass merchandiser, already famous for its class-for-the-masses collaborations with designers like Todd Oldham and Isaac Mizrahi, builds upon this reputation with Orla Kiely™ for Target. The housewares and home décor collection, which debuted in Target stores on February 1, capitalizes on the bold graphics, colors and patterns typically seen in Kiely’s apparel, fashion accessories and home goods.
Her just-released lineup for Target includes bowls, plates, glasses, organizers, textiles -- even a laundry bag. “My designs are based on quality and practicality. Through my partnership with Target, I am able to share this vision with a much broader audience,” said Kiely, who later stated in an interview with the The New York Times that her favorite piece in the collection is a set of three pear-printed canisters.
Unlike the designer’s coveted fashion line, Orla Kiely for Target weighs in at more affordable price points, starting as little as $2.49 and topping out at $21.99. Like most of Target’s guest designer products, the line will only be in stores for a limited time. Additionally, certain items will also be available online at Target.com.
