Air-filled objects-some vacuum-packed and self-expanding, others shaped by air streams or simply inflatable-are the subject of Blow Up: Shaped Air in Design, Architecture, Fashion, and Art, an exhibition on view at the Vitra Design Museum Berlin through February 4, 2001. The survey includes experimental architecture, visionary fashion, and conceptual art as well as familiar, inflatable objects. Documentary materials, photographs, films, and essays attest to the sophistication and historical development of these objects. The Vitra Design Museum Berlin is located at Kopenhagener Strasse 58, D-10437. For information, visit www.design-museum-berlin.de.
