Fragrances by high-profile fashion designers? Absolutely. But cigar makers? Davidoff does it for the second time with its latest men's fragrance, Echo Davidoff, sold in a bottle by Karim Rashid.
Responsible for several colorful bottle designs for Issey Miyake fragrances as well as the white packaging for Prada skin-care products—not to mention his innovative home furnishings and objects—Rashid is no stranger to package design. His undulating Echo David- off bottle of clear glass features a triangular metal spray cap on one corner. "Because the scent has a clear energy," says the designer, "the bottle has to seem flexible, like liquid. As if it did not need to exist."
