United Kingdom–based Korean designer Baek-Ki Kim does not believe that one need sacrifice humor to achieve a sleek aesthetic. Hence Seatub, a bathtub-cum-lounge chair. Constructed of carbon fiber with a high-gloss lacquered finish, it is equipped with chrome-coated steel feet. In small areas where space is at a premium, tame your avalanche of stuff with Snows—stools with storage space hidden inside the molded, ABS plastic bases and beneath the polyethylene foam cushions. The original inspiration for the piece: a jar of kimchi, a traditional Korean dish of pickled vegetables, sitting on a snow-covered terrace. It comes in black and white lacquer. Positives=Negatives is a low-height desk with myriad uses. It can double as a comfortable tray or be inverted to become shelving for books. Its shape mimics the peak of a traditional Korean roof. 44-78-8171-5930; thebaek.com. circle 412
