A blizzard didn't deter industry hotshots from attending Solutia's 2002 Doc Awards ceremony at New York's Rainbow by Cipriani (the venue formerly known as the Rainbow Room). The awards recognized six manufacturers for their achievement in carpets utilizing the chemical developer's Ultron premium nylon fibers. Bentley Prince Street was lauded for its Charles River collection, Shaw Contract for the It's Only Natural collection, Fortune Contract for its Ombre and Tracery patterns, Durkan Commercial for its Shiki Shiki pattern, Constantine Commercial for its Axiom pattern, and Interface Flooring Systems for its Florentine collection. Four U.S. design and architecture firms also received Doc Awards for contract interior projects that feature carpet made with Ultron premium nylon fibers: DMJM Rottet's Houston office (Vanco Energy Company headquarters, Houston), TVS Interiors of Atlanta (Uzun & Case Engineers, Atlanta), Wirt Design Group of Los Angeles (Homestore headquarters, Westlake Village, California), and Collin Burry and Gary Nichols of San Francisco (Shaw Contract showroom, San Francisco).
