Philippe Starck Does It Again: Latest Collection for Axor
Hansgrohe -- Interior Design, 9/23/2013 5:06:01 PM
Five-time Axor collaborator, Philippe Starck once again brings his signature design ingenuity to the bath with the Axor Starck Organic collection. Starck explains, “This collection is yet another revolution, a new cocktail of highest technology and good philosophy.”
Provocative in design and eco-friendly, the faucets in the award-winning line offer a new sensation for the sink, featuring an aerator that boasts a virtually unprecedented 90 spray outlets, while measuring less than an inch in diameter. Thanks to special construction, the walls of the faucets can be cast using about one third less brass than a conventionally produced model, thereby reducing waste. The faucets have a low 0.9 GPM setting, as well as a 1.3 GPM setting. Air enrichment technology, which is also used in the company’s showers, helps to make the spray feel full and luxurious. To turn on the faucet, the tip of the spout can be turned halfway for a 0.9GPM flow or all the way for a 1.3 GPM flow, which adds extra volume. The spout/handle hybrid is designed for use with the thumb—for the most intuitive and comfortable operation. Beyond its supreme functionality and features, Axor Starck Organic creates a brand new water experience, promoting responsible water use, while offering a soft, voluminous spray and avant-garde organic design.
The collection can be experienced in person at Axor NYC, the brand's design studio in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, as well as at dealers across the country. More information can be found online at www.hansgrohe-usa.com/axor
