I started ICFF this year with a fun party at Moooi on Friday night. Congrats to Moooi for "getting real" in New York. You can touch, see, and feel their collection at B&B Italia in SoHo on Greene street. I zipped out of town for the weekend, but was back on Monday ready to tackle ICFF 2009.
Cuddling with my fav girl Kristina on a super comfy Hastens bed. Miss K told me to pretend to be sleeping, but I was having way too much fun.
I enjoyed the show and saw some exciting things, mostly from smaller studios, but I have to say that it did not really feel like a big international fair. There were lots of missing players and it felt a little provincial in scale. Nevertheless, I had a great time and was happy to find so many fun new products. Here are a couple of my favorites.
Green velcro light with feathers and LEDs from Rachel O’Neal; Rat chandelier from Non Fiction Design Collective
