Francois Chambard & The Grill
A couple of weeks ago I had a meeting at UM Project in Brooklyn and spotted something that really grabbed my attention. Most everyone has one or two oven grills lying around their kitchen and most people don’t do anything with them other than using them to grill in their oven. And why? Most people are just not as brilliant as Francois Chambard of UM Project. Francois spots a grill at a flea market and sees a cabinet door, so he builds the cabinet, powder coats the grill orange, and voila!
I feel honored to be collaborating on some projects with him right now and hope this is just the start! I will be featuring more of his work soon.
P.S. UM stands for users and makers.
