Desperately Seeking the Sun
At this time of year, I start to seriously think about seeking the sun. I’ve had enough of the cold weather, the mushy snow boots trampling into my loft. Today I decided to dress in beach wear. My husband gave me a very puzzled look as I walked into the kitchen wearing loose-flowing, flowered pants with a lilac dress over it; orange flip-flops finished my ensemble. This is a sign that I have to get out of town! This economy, however, is telling me this may not be the time to take that trip to Mexico the Viñas family is so desperate for.
Instead, I am going to start thinking of dream jobs that might take me and my three "assistants" (my husband and two super-cute daughters) to some sunny, tropical destination.
- Design a private yacht; we would obviously need to spend some time on the yacht to best understand how to redesign the vessel.
- Design a small boutique hotel on a tropical island; again, we would need some time here to immerse ourselves in the culture, interview the locals, etc.
- Beach house, preferably on a white, sandy beach; we need to field measure and find resources for local fabricators.
Feel free to give me a call if you have something in mind. I can let you know my children’s school vacation days so we can work out the dates.
P.S. I would love to go to Morroco!
