A Simple Pink Robe by Staszek Kotowski
Laura Bohn's summer soiree at her Bucks County country house in Pennsylvania. My husband was of course invited, but he is so enthralled in World Cup soccer that he had to stay home. It was a the perfect setting: two long white tables on the lawn under shady trees with rolling hills in the background. Lots of delicious food and drink and merriment; it was idylic. Laura and I are "neighbors" with only about 15 minutes between our country houses, and she also happens to be the only New Yorker I know who lives in Bucks county near me. I met a lot of her lovely friends who had made the trip out from the city. Two weeks ago, my girls, Mia and Saskia, their friend India, and I went to designer
One was a lovely couple, Loni Ludlow and Staszek Kotowski, and their cute dog, Max. Loni is an interior designer and Staszek is an artist who also paints a lot of murals in many different styles. His work is stunning and although I deeply admire his incredible ability and talent, I could not see how I could incorporate it into my work until I came across a simple Tromp L'oeil robe behind a door. I really love it and thought how fantastic this would look in a very minimal modern house...an unexpected gem behind a door--just stunning!
I REALLY want to incorporate this into one of my projects so I am hoping that Staszek and I can work together soon.
