Beautiful Upside-Down Fishing Boat Sheds
I stumbled on these beautiful ship-sheds recently, and fell in love with the beautiful simplicity of reuse. On the island of Lindisfame, a tiny spot off of the northeastern coast of England, it's a local custom (not a design trend) to take retired wooden ships and turn them upside down, turning them into usable sheds. The sheds shown here are made from old herring boats, and with little additional work (just add a door!), the structures become usable for years to come.
