Kiss-Powered Christmas Lights in London
What better source of renewable energy than public displays of affection?! With Christmas a month and a half away, London's Convent Garden is host to an art installation that is bringing new functionality to mistletoe: visitors who come to the 50 foot Christmas tree are invited to kiss under the mistletoe, the electricity from their touch lighting up the 50,000 red and white LED Christmas lights above. The project, called "The Kiss," was created by Paul Cocksedge Studio as an interactive and fun way to make a tradition more public while raising awareness about green living. The number of kisses also equates to money raised for The Prince's Trust charity. Talk about your holiday spirit!
