Michigan Modern: Design that Shaped America
When: June 13, 2013 - June 16, 2013
Location: 39221 Woodward Ave Bloomfield Hills, MI, United States of America
Michigan was an epicenter of modern design in postwar America. Through its design industry, companies like Herman Miller and General Motors and designers Charles Eames, George Nelson, Harley Earl, Eero Saarinen and Minoru Yamasaki shaped the American dream and brought good design to the masses. Join us June 13-16, 2013, in Bloomfield Hills as we tell the Michigan Modern story through a symposium at the Cranbrook Educational Community and an exhibition at the Cranbrook Art Museum. Go to michiganmodern.org to register. Registration ends May 31. Student rates are available, call 517.373.1631 for details on student registration or with other questions.
