A year after marking its centennial with a retrospective at Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the Italian manufacturer returned to Milan with a forward-looking 2012 collection. Among the standouts were new handles designed in-house as well as collaborations with Stefano Giovannoni, March Gut, Jean Nouvel, Nicola Novelletto, and Patricia Urquiola. Novelletto's Euclide and Euclide Q designs are composed of three harmonious elements and are available with both round and square rosettes and escutcheons. Studio Olivari's Trend is a handle pared down to its most elemental form. And Giovannoni's Globe is based on a piece made by pressing transparent plastic into metal; this time it's being produced in all brass. 39-322-835080; more
