Since 1979, this Milan gallery has been a staunch booster of contemporary designers, producing new editions, shows, and publications with both celebrated and emerging talents. An environment by Massimo Uberti is one such endeavor: Staged in the Palazzo Durini during this year's Salone del Mobile, the installation, Linne di Costruzione (Italian for "construction lines"), transformed neon lights and silver wire into a ghostly tableau of everyday objects. Uberti's imaginary house seems to be in progress; ladders and sawhorses stand ready to complete some fantasy architecture project for "poetic inhabitants" who will conjure novel ways to live within. 39-2-780193; nilufar.com.
